Srishti Sharma, a 16-year-old from Panchkula, Haryana, achieved a remarkable 100% in the CBSE Class 10 exams, scoring 500/500 under the “Best of Five” rule. A student at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, she lost just one mark in social science due to a minor error in a multiple-choice question, which left her in tears. Despite this, her overall performance was flawless, earning her a perfect score.
Unlike many peers, Srishti skipped tuition classes, relying solely on school-provided NCERT books for her preparation. She dedicated 17–20 hours daily to self-study, leaving no page unturned. “I read every word in the NCERT books,” she battled self-doubt but was uplifted by her teachers and parents. Her father, her biggest supporter, never pressured her, fostering confidence in her abilities.
Srishti’s disciplined routine and focus on self-belief paid off. “I didn’t expect a perfect score, but I knew I gave my all,” she shared with Hindustan Times. Aspiring to pursue computer science engineering at IIT Bombay, she offered advice to fellow students: “Trust yourself, work hard, and treat books as friends. Good results follow if you stay kind and focused.”
Her success mantra emphasizes diligence, positivity, and avoiding comparison with others. Srishti’s story highlights the power of self-study and perseverance, proving that with dedication, even the loftiest academic goals are within reach.
